It is also referred as legacy writing as it was started to pen down the legacies of great men of the time. Later on bio writing was used by kings and knights as the memoir of their life. As the quote says, our history is nothing but the biographies of our great men of early time, their lifestyle and actions.
Today biography writing can be categorized into vast genres. From corporate stories to audio-video biographies, or even professional biographies to personal biographies are coming up around us. Writing a biography cannot be considered as an easy task, because the readers will come up with an image about the person purely on the basis of what we have written in the biography.
